He's even more abrasive than ever
For some reason, any kind of criticism of Herman Cain is making Rush Limbaugh totally lose it on the radio. My theory is that for the longest time, Rush insisted that the Left only produced Barack Obama in order to A) prove that Liberals were not racist, and B) forestall any criticism by being able to just say "You're just racist!"And of course, since Rush Limbaugh says a lot of things that sound racist, he is kind of sensitive about this sort of thing. But Rush also knows a good thing when he sees one. I am sure that when Herman Cain came aboard as the most likely Republican candidate for 2012, Rush was all like "YEAAAHHHH JERKS, TWO CAN PLAY AT THAT GAME!!!"
Or maybe Limbaugh is just distraught at the fact that the most plausible Republican candidate has also lost all of his credibility in the last two weeks. Between his creepy-ass slow smile, the bizarre campaign ad with the super-close-up of his campaign manager smoking, and now these sexual harassment claims… I think it's obvious that Cain is just about done.
Leaving the Republicans with… whom, exactly? It's a quandary. Most people would start talking about what the GOP should do in this situation, looking forward, and so forth.
But not Rush Limbaugh!
Instead, Limbaugh has, in the words of the Media Matters watchdog group, "been on a petty, Cain-induced streak for more than a week, spluttering all kinds of confused, misogynistic, race-baiting rants."
He has claimed that sexual harassment lawsuits are a tool used by the liberal media to "get rid of people, or to score money gains."
Never mind that Rush and the left championed many sexual harassment lawsuits in the 1990s in an attempt to get rid of Clinton. Imagine what Rush would say if this story was about Monica Lewinski, instead of Herman Cain.
And never mind that the sexual harassment took place decades before Cain was a potential political candidate. The original lawsuits were made by women who were harassed by Cain, and they were made in order to get him to stop doing things like (in the case of Sharon Bialek), sliding his hands up under a woman's skirt while dragging her head towards his crotch.
Speaking of sexual harassment, Rush also pointed out that Sharon Bialek's name is pronounced "like buy-a-lick" which he then illustrated with a slurping sound. (Ew.)
And finally, Limbaugh has been bullying Bialek's thirteen year-old son, who is the one who encouraged Bialek to go public with these accusations.
Rush Limbaugh: a class act, as usual!
