Right from the get-go, Rush knows that women might take this the wrong way.

So much to unpack here. Rush Limbaugh has started a new Facebook page titled "Rush Babes For America." (Because you gotta have the word "America" in there, everyone KNOWS that Liberals hate America! That's how you distance yourself from them: by frantically waving the flag.)

Reading this transcript on Limbaugh's site, I had to smirk. He spends a surprising amount of time backpedaling from the word "babes." By going over and over the point that he doesn't mean the word "babes" in a demeaning sense, Rush makes it clear that he knows that calling women "babes" IS demeaning. (He wouldn't feel the need to defend his use of, say, the word "women!")

So right from the get-go, Rush knows that women might take this the wrong way. Doesn't stop him from doing it, though. Probably because statistically, over 75 percent of his listeners are male. In a world where 51 percent of the population is female, that's a pretty big skew!

NOW Attack Initiative

President Obama and his democratic handlers are now attempting to persuade the voting public that the Republicans are mounting a war on women. Liberals will sink to any depth to forward their agenda. They rained nuclear fire on Sarah Palin, her family and children in the last election. Allegations and attacks incredibly vile and filthy to any and all women permeated the airwaves and newsprint for months and indeed, have not stopped.

No Democratic leader or follower and certainly no member of any women’s rights groups, such as the National Organization for Women, made a peep. When the lack of backlash was apparent, the attacks were widened to include Republican women pundits and public servants.

Rush Limbaugh says America's not racist

Limbaugh is like the street magician. I admire his skill in misdirecting the audience. Look over here! Nothing up my sleeve! America! America!

Don't you love it when white people make declarations about how there is no such thing as racism? Or that Americans aren't racist? Or that racism is a thing of the past? Or how there's no racism, but there sure as shootin' is REVERSE racism?

Stuff white people say. I swear to God, it gives us all a bad name. Invisible backpack much?

Rush Limbaugh recently went on the attack when someone forwarded him an out-of-context tweet by a (black) CNN syndicated columnist. Roland S. Martin, in bemoaning the racist things everyone is saying about a black hockey player, commented that "I simply accept the reality that racism is in the DNA of America. And when that button is pushed, the true feelings come tumbling out!"

Whether talking about the Democrats or his father, Rush uses the language of submission.

Rush Limbaugh has posted a show transcript which has a surprising level of self-analysis and emotional honesty, even if Rush doesn't seem to realize it. In it, Rush draws parallels between the wrong things that the Democrats believe, and the wrong things that his father believed, and how his father's beliefs affected Rush.

Limbaugh is clearly a man who is still bitter about not having received his father's approval. His father grew up in the Great Depression and became a lawyer, and apparently put a lot of pressure on Rush throughout his life to get a "real job," and follow a conventional career path. According to Rush's father there was only one path to success in America, and Rush wasn't following it.

Things WERE better when you were a kid. Wanna know why? BECAUSE YOU WERE A KID.

Sometimes it's easy to forget that Rush Limbaugh is super old. Then he goes on one of his long rambling riffs about, you know, "kids these days" and "back in my day," and it's like you can practically smell the Ben Gay. As if Werthers Originals are going to start pouring from his pockets.

Rush celebrated his 61st birthday last January. And his latest rant about "cultural rot" shows every day of it. Why, there's not a cranky old man over the age of 60 in this country who isn't just itching to go off on the same rant, any minute of any day. The topics are universal: parents are too lenient, today's youth is morally corrupt, and "our institutions" are under attack.

Rush wins out

I discussed the events surrounding the Sandra Fluke and Rush Limbaugh dust-up while it was taking place. Now that the dust has settled, things are much clearer. Six weeks after Rush Limbaugh chatted up Sandra Fluke on his national radio program, life in the EIB kingdom has returned to normal.

As advertisers realize—yet again—that they simply panicked and caved when Liberal seminar callers deluged them with boycott threats; they are now trying to return to sponsorship of Rush’s show to present their products to a base of 15 to 20 million listeners that they had just drop-kicked to the curb. Incidentally, I applaud Rush for denying most advertisers to return—at least immediately.

I am interested in the countering claims between Media Matters and Rush Limbaugh concerning the number of sponsors who have discontinued advertising. I looked at Media Matters website this morning and saw that they have the story way down on their topic list.

Liberal assasination attempt failed

Just a few short weeks ago, liberals were stoning what they perceived as a weakened and cowering Rush Limbaugh, while chortling over his certainly immediate demise. Liberals applied pressure and twisted the arms of advertisers—some of whom caved and pulled their sponsorship from the program—in an attempt to make certain that this time, they nailed him with a stone sufficiently big enough to put him down for good.

The Problem With The "Just Kidding" Defense

If there was a non-birth-control medicine that prevented ovarian cysts, you would expect it to be covered by health insurance, right?

There are a lot of reasons why Rush Limbaugh is still serving as the punching bag almost four weeks after his initial three-day rampage against Sandra Fluke. One of them, certainly, is that his apology was worded so badly. The "just kidding" defense is one of the worst in the playbook, and everyone knows it.

What's infuriating about "just kidding" is that it allows the bully to keep bullying, while at the same time denying the victim's right to be hurt by the bully's words.
